The New Orleans Area
We’re located just minutes from the shores of picturesque Lake Pontchartrain. A trip into the city’s historic French Quarter is a quick nine miles from our front door. Even closer, you’ll find several major corporate offices and four universities. We’re within five minutes of the cruise ship terminals at the Port of New Orleans. As one of the nation’s top destinations, New Orleans plays host to nine million visitors a year. So, whether you’re traveling on business or pleasure, we’re certain you’ll find our hotel to be a great base. We offer comfortable accommodations, a free Bright Side Breakfast®, free parking, high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, an outdoor pool and sun deck, and a welcome for pets.
Come for Mardi Gras, for Jazz Fest, or come anytime. New Orleans is about fabulous food, good times, great jazz, and traditional pageantry. From streetcars to Superdome, trombones to tabasco, there’s a lot to love about this unique and charming European-like city. You can take in the sights from aboard Natchez, an authentic steamboat on the Mississippi River. If time allows for exploring beyond city limits, consider adding a tour of a historic antebellum Southern plantation where sugar cane still grows. There are about a dozen plantations within a two-hour drive. If alligator-filled swamps are more your interest, there are plenty of nature reserves to visit along the bayou. Choose from fast airboat tours or lazy flat-bottomed barges through lazy canals lined with moss-draped cypress. And remember your camera!
